Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AgentPals website, the AgentPals game and its online services, and any related community features (together, the "Services") provided by Righteous Games, Inc. ("Righteous Games", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

AgentPals is in active development. Features described on this website — including editions, pricing, platforms, and release timing — are subject to change, and some are not yet available.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use the Services. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up, wishlist, pre-order, or apply to a program, and to keep it up to date.

AgentPals lets you author skills and create other content. You retain ownership of the original skills and content you create. By publishing, sharing, or trading content through the Services, you grant Righteous Games a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and use that content to operate and promote the Services, and to credit you as its author.

You are responsible for the content you create. You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, or that attempts to circumvent the skill sandbox, exploit the game, harm other players, or gain an unfair advantage. We may review, moderate, or remove content, and we may run automated balance-and-abuse checks on skills before they can be traded.

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Services except where the law expressly permits it; use cheats, bots, or unauthorized third-party software; disrupt or overload the Services; harass or harm other players; or use the Services for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms.

Prices, editions, and bonuses shown on this website reflect our current plans and may change before pre-orders formally open. Purchases made through a platform storefront are also subject to that storefront's terms and refund policies.

Time-limited benefits — such as early access or pre-order bonuses — apply only within the windows described at the time of purchase. Edition upgrades are available by paying the applicable difference, subject to those same timing rules.

The Services, including AgentPals, its creatures, artwork, music, code, and the AgentPals and Righteous Games names and logos, are owned by Righteous Games or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, we reserve all rights.

Fan creations are welcome under creator guidelines we publish separately. Those guidelines do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property.

Playtest and beta builds are provided on an "as is" basis for the purpose of testing. They may be unstable, incomplete, or reset, and progress made in them may not carry over. Feedback you provide about the Services may be used by us without restriction or obligation to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Righteous Games will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

We may update these Terms as the Services evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions? Email legal@agentpals.io.
